How do animals cope with changes in ocean currents?

Animals exhibit diverse strategies to cope with shifts in ocean currents. Some species, particularly marine mammals and fish, may alter migration routes to navigate changes in water flow. Others adjust their feeding behavior, taking advantage of altered currents to enhance foraging efficiency. Some smaller organisms, such as plankton, rely on passive drifting to move with the current. Evolutionary adaptations also contribute to the ability of certain species to thrive in specific current conditions, showcasing the dynamic interplay between marine life and oceanic currents.
